“Scott was a friendly, proactive and attentive host who communicated clearly and quickly. The setting was serene and beautiful. It was the perfect place for a family reunion of all ages. We saw elk and deer as we drove down the long gravel road. Max speed is 10 MPH which is the perfect speed to really notice if there are elk are around! I really appreciated the quality beds, linens, pillows and towels. The house has many views of the Deschutes River. The dock was a favorite place for the kids. The wrap around deck had plenty of quality seating. The smaller house worked great for my sister’s family of 6 adults and one newborn baby. The main house accommodated the rest of my extended family quite nicely! Do be sure to realize that for larger families, the members need to be comfortable sharing rooms with bunk beds. The description and photos are 100% ACCURATE!”

“We stayed at Scott's place for a retreat with a number of couples. It suited our needs very well, and everyone was comfortable. The decor was attractive and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we were able to cook our meals and make great coffee and espresso. The hot tub was a disappointment. It was not level and the jets were exposed, plus the water level was low and the chlorine was so intense the fumes burned our eyes. The cottage is smaller than it appears in the pictures. It was super cute, with mid-century lakehouse vibes, but the water (or the old plumbing) was extremely rusty. The shower water smelled of rust, and the load of laundry we washed came out stained with rust to the point that a few items in the load were ruined. There should be a disclaimer on the machine stating that the water is rusty and may (will!) stain clothes. This must be why the sheets and towels are sent off site for laundering. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and very adequate for us.”

“When a large group wants to rent a property, normally you only get two out of three: (1) beautiful property, (2) tons of space, (3) reasonable cost. This was one of the rare cases where we got all three.
It easily slept our group of 12 men, and the new large dining table meant we could all share a meal together. Nearby, the kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and cookware, with all its drawers clearly labeled.
Our host, Scott, was quick to respond to any questions, and checkout was a breeze compared to some other properties I've stayed at. We noticed exactly 12 chairs had been placed around the fire pit outside (not sure if it was a coincidence, but it was considerate if deliberate).
The property was incredibly peaceful - so much so that we woke up on our last day to a herd of elk peacefully roaming across the property.”

“My family and I could not recommend this place enough for a large gathering. From the prompt communication and activities galore, to having all the kitchen supplies you could need to cook for everyone, Scott and his family makes you feel right at home. Whether you are there for the winter snow, summer heat or anything in between there is a TON of indoor and outdoor activiti s you can partake in and not have to step off the property if you don't want to. He made us feel right at home, answered all questions promptly and even decorated the house for us for our Christmas gathering! Would recommend his place to anyone looking for a chill place to relax, explore and make memories for all to remember!”

“The river setting venue for this house was great! It is so private but close drive to everything in the village. We were able to put the rented kayaks in the river right from the boat dock! The house plus cabin were big enough to accommodate all our family members ( 16 adults). The pool table downstairs provided great fun during the evenings.
This will be a great memory for all our family.”

The house was great and everyone felt comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and nicely labeled making things easy to find. Plenty of outdoor space to sit out and enjoy the beautiful outdoor surroundings. Would recommend. Scott was great to work with.”

“Beautiful property! Our group went for a ski trip so we appreciated the proximity to the mountain, and the houses amenities like the fire pit and hot tub. Kitchen was open and spacious, fully stocked with cooking gadgets making it easy to prepare meals for a big group! Plenty of comfortable sleeping spots, and very nice to have the additional quiet space of the cottage. Scott was proactive with communication and easy to work with! We would love to rent the property again in the summer to make use of the large outdoor space along the river— there’s even a frisbee golf course! Highly recommend this stay :)”

“This house was perfect for our family get together. With the amount of space indoors and outdoors, everyone could relax and enjoy their stay. My partner and I also had a small wedding ceremony in the backyard and it was perfect. My family kept saying how beautiful the home and location was that they’d want to book another stay in the future. Scott was such a great host from the moment I booked the house (~7 months in advance) until we checked out. His instructions were clear, he always responded in a timely manner, and overall he’s just an awesome host! Thanks again Scott!”

“We had a team retreat at this location and it was more than ideal! Had multiple people spread out through the house playing cards, pool, reading by the water, cooking food and more. It was peaceful and fun. Our team hasn’t stopped talking about it and wants to make it a regular trip. Scott was very communicative and responsive. I was able to ask some questions while on property during our stay and he got back to me right away.
We are looking forward to making this an annual trip to kick off our collegiate volleyball season!”

“This was an exceptional location for our family reunion. Plenty of space for everyone and the riverside location was perfect for cooling off in the heat. Truly a special place if you have a large group. Labeling and equipment stocking in the kitchen was called “next level” by several people. We loved all the exterior seating options, hammocks and large picnic table space. Fabulous memories!”

“This house was great for our big group! It had everything we needed, lots of beds, bathrooms, space and in an ideal location. The amentities were awesome! Hotub, pool table, ping pong table, and firepit, we did not have to leave the house. Scott was very reponsive and helpful. We highly recomend this house, we plan on coming back next year!”

“We had a wonderful stay with extended family at Scott's place -- the house is beautiful, so well furnished and renovated, it isvery zen with high ceilings and comfortable furniture/beds. Plenty of room for large meals and games around the long dining table. We absolutely love the cabin next-door, which has several lovely rooms with large single bed rooms, with a larger bed room on the main floor, and a beautiful sitting room with windows to take in the nature and watch the river float by. In the main house, we felt so relaxed in the common area with an open kitchen/living room -- it felt spacious and great for cooking and serving food. It's a really great place for family or friend gatherings, and Scott was really helpful -- when we were looking for dry wood after a rain for a fire in the pit, he offered to reimburse us for splitters. As annual renters of large houses for family gatherings, we all agreed this place was the best. Very relaxing and private.”

“We were in the area for a youth leadership training institute. This beautiful home was the perfect location for our group of student leaders. There was plenty of room for everyone and fun activities available for the youth in between sessions. Being able to stay in one location, sharing meals and cleanup duties together created a much more cohesive and bonded group than if we had placed the students in hotel rooms.”

“This house gave us memories for years to come for our family 4th of July get together. It fit 25 of us comfortably. The dogs absolutely loved the yard and the river. The kids floated the river practically every day right back to the backyard. It was big enough for us to sit around and socialize in one area. The amenities were great for a big group. We'd definitely recommend and stay here again!”

“We rented Scott’s lodge for a team work trip. It was a great experience and we enjoyed the amenities (so many games and outdoor activities!) and spacious lodge. We noticed that the HVAC in the lodge was excellent in particular, and it allowed us to feel safe and comfortable even with poor fire season air quality. Highly recommend for group trips.”

“Scott's lodge and cabin by the river was the perfect place to get away. We had a group of 8 guys stay there for a golf trip and had more than enough room to stretch out, play cards and relax. Very quiet location by the Deschutes river with a main lodge with 7 bedrooms and a side cabin with another 6 or so. We made good use of the fire pit and hot tub to warm up after jumping in the water. Scott was very responsive and wanted to make sure the lodge met our expectations. It did and more.”
