The baseball tournaments in Bend, Redmond and La Pine that bring teams to town
Four tournaments bring out-of-town baseball teams to Central Oregon between late April and late July; one of them has a housing rule with an opt-out fee.
| Tournament | Usual timing | Fields | Housing rule |

| Little League Junior Baseball West Region (13 to 14) | Late July, about nine days; in 2026 the dates were July 22 to 30 | Bend; Caldera High School hosted in 2022 | Teams are housed by the host league; families book their own |
Memorial Day Bash: when paying the $350 opt-out and renting one house near Bend makes sense
The Bash requires out-of-area teams to book through its housing company unless the team emails to opt out and pays a $350 surcharge. Twelve players with two parents each is 36 people and more than this house holds; twelve players, two coaches and one parent each is 26 and fits, with the other parents in Sunriver. Price that against ten to fourteen hotel rooms for three nights on a holiday weekend and the surcharge disappears. Ask the organizer in writing before you book, and keep the email.
Games start around 8 AM Saturday and can run to Monday evening. The house is about 30 minutes from the Bend diamonds and 15 to 20 from the La Pine fields, so a team drawn into La Pine pool play has the shortest commute in the tournament.
The Junior League West Region in Bend: one house for a whole state's fan section
Twelve teams of 13- and 14-year-olds, one per state or sub-region, play for up to nine days in late July. The players and three coaches are housed by the host league; the parents, siblings and grandparents who follow them are not, and a team's travelling family group runs 25 to 40 people. One house for the whole section means one place to watch the other games on the big TV, one grill after a win, and the river on an off day. Caldera High School, which hosted in 2022, is about 25 minutes from the house.
Nine nights is a long stay, and the kitchen is the reason it works: double appliances, a 12-foot table, four 8-foot picnic tables on the deck. Feeding 30 people near Sunriver has the grocery plan.

Where a team and its families sleep near Sunriver: players in the Cottage, parents in the Lodge
The five-bedroom Cottage next door has four Full beds and a Twin bunk with its own front door, kitchen and bath: a team and a coach in one building with the parents 50 feet away in the Lodge. The Lodge's six rooms include a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks and two King rooms with a twin bunk, for the siblings. Thirty people is the cap and it counts children; 24 adults is the cap on adults. The bed-by-bed table for all 11 rooms is on large group rentals near Sunriver; the floor plans and 3D tour are on the whole retreat page.

Uniforms, cleats and 15 cars: laundry and parking at the house south of Bend
A stacked washer and dryer in the Lodge runs uniforms between the Saturday and Sunday games. Cleats and bags live in the mudroom on its bench and hooks, and the rinse is outside. Parking for up to 15 vehicles takes the family convoy and a team trailer. From the house: Sunriver Resort and SHARC are five miles and about ten minutes, Bend and Mt. Bachelor are each about 30 minutes, and the Big River boat ramp, a public put-in, is 2.5 miles up the road.
The house rules that matter for a youth team near Sunriver
A coach or parent who is 30 or older books and is the renter of record. Quiet hours start at 9 PM, which a team with an 8 AM game will not mind. The property is not fenced and the river is cold; assign an adult to the water, as the river safety guide explains.
The rules that decide whether this house fits a group: the renter must be 30 or older, every booking has a 2-night minimum, quiet hours run 9 PM to 8 AM, and occupancy is capped at 30 guests (24 adults) because the home is on well and septic. Dogs are welcome for a pet fee once approved on your reservation. The full list, the deposit and the cancellation terms are on house rules and Book Now.
What a tournament week costs for a team and its families, and how to book
Three nights over Memorial Day or nine over the West Region, split across families, is the comparison with a hotel block. The live calendar shows the rate for your dates; the organizers post schedules in winter, and the house books up for late May and July well before then. The other events teams book this house for are on team and event lodging near Bend and Sunriver, and the middle school basketball championships has its own page.
Nightly rates run about 1,000 to 4,000 dollars plus taxes and fees. For 24 adults, that is 42 to 167 dollars a person a night before taxes and fees.
