The Oregon Girls and Boys Middle School Basketball Championships bring more than 125 teams each to gyms in Bend, Redmond and Sisters over two March weekends, the girls the first weekend and the boys the second. A club that travels two or three teams with parents is 25 to 30 people, and the organizer offers only a hotel search. This house sleeps 30 in 11 bedrooms, 30 to 55 minutes from the gyms, with a game room, a hot tub and a kitchen that feeds a team between games.

Why a club with two or three teams rents one house near Sunriver
Twelve-year-olds between games need a place to be loud, eat and not break a hotel. This house has a game room with a pool table, ping pong, an arcade cabinet and an Xbox, two living areas so the parents get one, a 12-foot table, and three acres outside. Two teams of 10 with a coach each and a handful of parents is 30, the cap. The bunk rooms take the players; the King rooms take the parents.
March is shoulder season on the river, which means open dates and the lower end of the year's rates. Snow is possible; the hot tub is covered.

The drive from the house to the gyms in Bend, Redmond and Sisters
Bend gyms are about 30 minutes; the Redmond gyms about 50 to 55; Sisters about an hour. Gym assignments change by round, so one parent drives the schedule and the rest follow. In March the roads are usually clear, with a chance of a morning snow squall; carry chains in the vans. From the house: Sunriver Resort and SHARC are five miles and about ten minutes, Bend and Mt. Bachelor are each about 30 minutes, and the Big River boat ramp, a public put-in, is 2.5 miles up the road.
Where two teams and the parents sleep: bunks in the Lodge, the Cottage for one team
The Lodge has a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks and two King rooms with a twin bunk each, plus Kings and Queens for parents, across five baths. The Cottage next door takes a second team and its coach with four Full beds, a Twin bunk, its own kitchen and one bath. Thirty people is the cap and it counts the players. The bed-by-bed table for all 11 rooms is on large group rentals near Sunriver; the floor plans and 3D tour are on the whole retreat page.
Team meals, laundry and 15 parking spots at the house south of Bend
The kitchen has double appliances and the deck has four 8-foot picnic tables; the stacked washer and dryer turns jerseys between Saturday and Sunday. Parking for up to 15 vehicles takes the carpool. Costco and Fred Meyer in Bend are the grocery run on the way in, 30 minutes north.
The house rules that matter for a youth club near Sunriver
A coach or parent who is 30 or older books. Quiet hours start at 9 PM, and the home is on well and septic, so 30 is the cap. The river is cold in March and the property is not fenced; an adult watches the water.
The rules that decide whether this house fits a group: the renter must be 30 or older, every booking has a 2-night minimum, quiet hours run 9 PM to 8 AM, and occupancy is capped at 30 guests (24 adults) because the home is on well and septic. Dogs are welcome for a pet fee once approved on your reservation. The full list, the deposit and the cancellation terms are on house rules and Book Now.
What a championship weekend costs for 20 to 30, and how to book
Two nights in March, split across two teams' families, is the comparison with a hotel block in Redmond. The live calendar shows the rate for your dates. The other events teams book this house for are on team and event lodging near Bend and Sunriver, and youth group retreat lodging has its own page.
Nightly rates run about 1,000 to 4,000 dollars plus taxes and fees. For 24 adults, that is 42 to 167 dollars a person a night before taxes and fees.
