Can a rental group use SHARC in Sunriver?

Yes, through public admission, which SHARC posts at $32 a person from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day and $22 a person in the off season. SHARC passes are not included with the estate, so guests pay at the door unless another SHARC card covers them or an age exception applies. Children 3 and younger enter free in summer.

SHARC says it is owned and operated by the Sunriver Owners Association, not Sunriver Resort. It describes the SROA Recreation Plus Card as an option that participating Sunriver vacation rentals provide to tenants. SHARC passes are not included with a stay here. Rates below were read from SHARC's admission page on October 22, 2026 and can change.

Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day$32Indoor and outdoor aquatics. Includes non-swimming spectators; ages 3 and younger free
Off season (fall, winter, spring)$22Ages 4 and older and all spectators. Outdoor aquatics open Friday to Sunday through September 27; indoor only Monday to Thursday

At those rates, 20 paying guests cost $640 in summer and $440 off season. Budget it as a separate line from the stay; see how to split the cost of a group house. SHARC says there are no refunds for weather or incident closures, that lightning closes everything until it passes, and that access is first come, first served.

The drive is the estate's own estimate, not a routing figure. The house sits in the Three Rivers area, so a group with several vehicles should leave time for parking at SHARC on a summer afternoon.

What SHARC has: the facilities the Sunriver Owners Association lists

SROA's facility directory lists an amphitheater, aquatics, basketball, bocce ball, a dance floor, disc golf, a hospitality kitchen, a hot tub, a member fitness center, a pavilion, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, and a stage. That is the full list on the page, and it does not describe the pools, the depths, or the water features.

SROA's Recreation Department also manages event rental spaces at SHARC. Ask SHARC which spaces exist, what they cost and how far ahead to book, because the SROA pages give no terms.

SHARC in Sunriver by season: when it is busiest

SROA lists May through September as its peak summer months for recreation. SROA also says its amenities run both year-round and seasonally, without saying which season applies to which part of SHARC.

That points to a simple rule. A July holiday weekend asks for an early call. Off-peak weekends depend on which amenities run that season. Ask SHARC which pools are open on your dates.

Questions to ask SHARC before a group of 12 to 30 arrives

One phone call settles it, and a short list keeps the call useful. Call (541) 585-5000 and ask these in order.

  1. Is public admission open on my dates at the posted rate, and are the outdoor pools running?
  2. Is there a cap on group size, and does a party of 20 or more need notice?
  3. Which pools and the hot tub are open on those dates, and what are the posted hours?
  4. Does disc golf at SHARC need a card or a reservation?
  5. Do you take any card or pass from guests staying outside Sunriver rental homes?
  6. Can we rent an event space for a group meal, and what is the lead time?

Write the answers in the group chat before anyone packs swimsuits. A group of 30 with a no from SHARC still has a full day, as the next section shows.

A water day for 30 at the house near Sunriver if SHARC is not an option

The estate has its own water and games, so a no from SHARC does not cancel the day. Private dock access sits on 450 feet of Deschutes River frontage, with Adirondack chairs on the dock and a hammock by the water. The covered hot tub is on the deck, and the 6-hole disc golf course, bocce, and ping pong are on the property.

The Forest Service calls most of the Deschutes unwadable, with deep, powerful water, so treat the dock as a place to sit and launch small boats by hand. Bring your own water toys and life jackets, because none are provided. The Big River boat ramp, a public put-in, is 2.5 miles up the road. Children 12 and under must wear a life jacket under state law, per Visit Bend. River details are in the Deschutes River near Sunriver.

Indoors, the estate has a pool table and ping pong in the game room, an arcade system, and Xbox. Together with the 12-foot dining table, that handles an afternoon for the kids while adults cook. The fire pit is seasonal: there are no fires June through September, and May and October depend on the weather.
